Electronic Services Team Leader

 Job Description

Department/Section:   Digital Services
Job Title:                          Electronic Services Team Leader
Reports to:                         Electronics and Cloud Services Manager

Job Purpose:
You will be Accountable to Electronic and Cloud Services Manager to define and develop electronic services strategy; plan and implement Electronic-based solutions; Envision how these electronic services will interact with existing offerings to provide a powerful synergy that is unique in the marketplace.
Key accountabilities and Tasks:

  • Lead and put a full Commercial strategy and roadmap for Electronic services (E-education, E-commerce, E-Health and E-government innovative mobile services and applications).
  • Lead and put day to day plan for Electronic services team members
  • Conduct a periodically Business analysis task.
  • Lead, Plan and manage Electronic services product life cycle and participate in all services Risk assessment with the help of risk management team.
  • Lead and manage Electronic services Communication across company department.
  • Lead and manage Electronic services Requirement Elicitation process.
  • Manage E-services vendors and partners relationship.
  • Develop E-services Business case.
  • Work closely with the digital services management in strategy development and execution of Electronic Services.
  • Provide strategic and financial input and direction to the company's annual business planning
  • Developing Market and Product Requirements Documents and working with technology team to identify the most appropriate implementation for the business need (build vs. buy).
  • Work closely with technology team throughout the product development cycle to ensure the final product meets requirements.
  • Own the business plan for Zain SD’s hosted services including; market and competitor analysis, product roadmap, pricing & launch strategies, financial projections and recommendations and actions for improvement
  • Lead and Identify new business opportunities within the market segment and develop business proposals for these opportunities
  • Work with technology team, systems design and support teams to ensure that current and planned products are achievable and delivered to market according to the agreed specification
  • Manage, develop and lead a team of electronic services specialists, vendor teams as well as a cross functional virtual team.
  • Keep abreast of latest product and service developments within the industry
  • To be fully accountable for the quality, accuracy timeliness and effectiveness of reports and KPI’s.
  • Contribute in the effective management, motivation and development of the team resources by liaising closely with the key line management, personnel and other relevant parties within the Digital Services department   to ensure problems/ issues are identified and resolve or apparently escalated at an earlier stage.
  • Supervise and coach the team members and set their yearly target and conduct the performance review (SMART-I’s) on regular basis.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable policies & regulatory requirements in information security.

What Do You Need to Qualify

PERSON SPECIFICATION


Qualifications/Experience:
 
  • Professional qualification, BSC in Electrical, Electronics or Telecom Engineering, IT.
  •  MSc/ MBA or any professional certification is advantage.
  • Mobile telecom background
  • Should have previous experience in IT solutions and services development management functions
  • Digital services and solutions knowledge and experience is a must
  • Extensive experience managing technical and analytics resources to create meaningful and measureable impact
  • Previous experience of PM is mandatory
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in product development / management, business analysis or any relevant field with at least one year of experience in management/ leading role
